The WaVe research project (“Trust in Digitally Networked, Global Hydrogen Value Chains”) aims to enable resilient and trustworthy hydrogen supply chains through digital solutions and platforms. Given the technical, social, and economic uncertainties in this emerging market, the project analyzes mechanisms that can strengthen trust between stakeholders. Digital solutions and platforms are the focus, as they could play a central role in resilient and transparent supply chains.

Three case studies identify trust challenges and suitable trust mechanisms in order to derive technical and organizational design principles. The results are intended to contribute to the development of global hydrogen value chains and support the energy transition.
