The project originated from the BMBF funding measure ‘Innovative Working Environments in SMEs’ and can be classified under the programme ‘Innovations for Tomorrow's Production, Services and Work’. It was funded under the funding code 02L21B531 and supervised by the project management agency in Karlsruhe.
How can workflows in construction be better controlled on the basis of data? Scientists at ZESS addressed this question in the ToGethA project.
The technical building equipment trades are among the key players in the construction process. Until now, there have been few tailor-made digital solutions for these players in particular. However, digital tools could play a key role in making the planning and execution of large construction projects more efficient.
In the ToGethA project, the Chair of Production Systems and the Chair of Industrial Sales and Service Engineering have addressed this problem. Together with project partners, they have developed a data-supported methodology for planning and controlling the work processes of technical building equipment in construction projects. The resulting methodology has been integrated into project management software from the company Cendas. Thanks to this integration, workflows in technical building equipment can be digitised. This digitalisation enables construction managers to react more quickly to changes in the construction process and adapt workflows accordingly.
