KI Meetup NRW at ZESS
One in two companies was the target of a cyberattack at least once last year! At the AI Meetup NRW, we therefore spoke with experts from academia and industry about how SMEs can protect themselves from attacks. The guests enjoyed a diverse program:
- Michael Dümesnil explained how AI facilitates the production of deep fakes and what dangers lurk when confidential data is traded on the darknet.
- Sergej Dechand explained how security can be considered when testing AI-generated code.
- Felix Schuster presented Privatemode AI, a new solution for organizations that want to use generative AI without taking data protection risks.
- Dr. Mohamad Sbeiti explained how AI can be used to proactively defend against cyberattacks.
- Giuseppe Zano presented training opportunities for developing AI skills for employees in SMEs.
In the panel, Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Berger, Friederike Schneider, and Thomas Lämmer-Gamp discussed how companies can prepare their workforces for new threats posed by cyberattacks. The general consensus: Cybersecurity isn't rocket science. Everyone can and should engage with the topic.
The meetup was organised in cooperation with Bochum Wirtschaftsentwicklung, AICommunityOWL and KI.NRW .
